Caring for Women at Every Stage of Life
Women’s health is complex, personal, and deeply important – and it deserves a team that truly understands that. Our obstetrics and gynaecology specialists at Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital are dedicated to providing respectful, expert care for women at every stage of life. Obstetrics is the medical specialty focused on pregnancy, childbirth, and the period following delivery. Gynaecology focuses on the health of the female reproductive system – including the uterus (womb), ovaries, fallopian tubes, and vagina. Whether you are planning a family, currently pregnant, managing a gynaecological condition, or simply taking care of your reproductive health, our team is here for you. We understand that women’s health concerns can feel sensitive and private – our female-friendly environment ensures every consultation is handled with dignity and discretion. Your comfort, your choices, and your voice are at the centre of everything we do.

Depending on the reason for your visit, our doctor may carry out a physical or pelvic examination, request blood tests, or arrange an ultrasound scan. For pregnant patients, your antenatal appointments will follow a structured schedule designed to monitor your health and your baby’s development at every key stage. All findings will be explained to you clearly at each visit – because understanding your own health is your right.
If a procedure or surgical intervention is recommended, our team will walk you through every detail beforehand – what it involves, how to prepare, what to expect during recovery, and any associated costs. Nothing will proceed without your full understanding and consent. Our goal is for every woman to leave our department feeling informed, respected, and genuinely cared for.
