Kamalakannan Koteeswaran has been working at Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Centre AS A Full time Specialist General Surgeon Since February 2021. He has 15 years of sound experience in general & laparoscopic surgeon.

After Completing his post-graduation from Manipal Hospital, he joined in G.Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore as Assistant Medical officer in General Surgery in June 2006.

He worked in Apollo Hospital KH Melvishram as Senior Registrar in General & Laparoscopic Surgery in 2007 & Global Hospital Chennai in 2009. He worked with World Renowned Pioneer Surgeon Dr.Palanivelu in Gem Hospital Coimbatore as Senior Registrar in Surgical gastroenterologists & laparoscopic surgeon in 2010.

He worked as Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon in Billroth Hospital RA Puram, Chennai from December 2010 to February2018. He did around 4000 Surgeries in his carrier. His special interest in Ano -rectal surgeries like Haemorrhoidectomy, Fissurectomy, Lateral Anal Sphincterotomy & Anal fistulectomy.

Four & half years ago, he moved to Kingdom of Bahrain & joined in Middle East Hospital & Al Amal Hospital as Specialist in General Surgery. He has attended Various International Conferences & CME in Bahrain. He Completed Laparoscopic Endoluminal Bariatric Surgery from University of Strasbourg France in 2018.

He is a Life Member of Indian Medical Association (IMA) , Indian Association of Gastro-Endo surgeons (IAGES) & Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI).
