Dr. Ashvij Rukkaya Shriyan is a Specialist Paediatrician with 12 years of experience in child health. He earned his MBBS and a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in Paediatrics in India. He also completed a fellowship in neonatology, which is specialized training for the care of newborn babies.

Before joining Shifa Al Jazeera, Dr. Ashvij worked as a consultant in India. He managed a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), caring for very sick or premature infants. He is experienced in handling medical emergencies for children.

Dr. Ashvij is also a trainer for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). This means he trains other healthcare professionals on how to support babies who have trouble breathing at birth.
