Specialist Care for Your Ear, Nose, and Throat
At Shifa Al Jazeera Hospital, our ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) team is experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions affecting the head and neck. ENT – also known as otolaryngology – is the medical specialty focused on disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures including the sinuses, voice box, and neck. These conditions are very common and can affect patients of all ages – from young children with frequent ear infections to adults managing chronic (long-term) sinus problems. We understand how much these conditions can disrupt everyday life – our multilingual specialists will take the time to listen and explain your diagnosis clearly. Whether your concern is straightforward or complex, you and your family will always be part of every care decision.

What to Expect During Your Visit
Your first appointment will begin with a detailed consultation. Our ENT specialist will ask about your symptoms, how long you have had them, and how they are affecting your daily life. For children, we encourage parents and carers to attend and share their observations – their input helps us provide the most accurate assessment.
Our specialist will then carry out a thorough clinical examination of your ear, nose, and throat. This may include the use of a small camera or light to examine areas that cannot be seen with the naked eye. These examinations are generally quick and non-invasive – and our team will explain each step before proceeding.
Following your assessment, our ENT specialist will discuss your diagnosis and treatment options with you in clear, simple terms. Treatment may involve medicines, a course of therapy, a minor in-clinic procedure, or surgery if clinically necessary. All options will be explained fully – and no decision will be made without your understanding and agreement.
